Our fall issue kicks off the new look of the Big Diamond. We hope you like our updated design. The front page also features an invitation for all to attend the General Meeting scheduled for October 11, 2005, where the new board will be elected. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the lovely Hillsboro Club (adjacent to the Hillsboro Lighthouse), and includes an auction, door prizes, free hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar. Hope to see you there! Also in this issue...a reminiscent look at the lighthouse from someone who grew up on the grounds; the Florida Lighthouse Day proclamation; a history of the accomplishments of the HLPS from 1997 - 2005; announcing the details of the November 5, 2005, tour; a profile of the HLPS Gift Shop manager, Joyce Hager; new members; and a historical photo from 1910.
