HLPS Lighthouse Tour information

The U.S. Coast Guard has licensed HLPS for up to 4 tour days each year to access/tour the Hillsboro Lighthouse. The next Lighthouse Tour is scheduled for . See Tours for additional information. No reservations required or accepted.


HLPS Membership and Annual dues information

Membership is available at the registraton table on the day of the tour or may be purchased in advance. For your convenience an online form is available.

HLPS memberships:
  • $25.00 for Individual
  • $35.00 for Family
  • $50.00 for Business/Organizations

Where are the best locations to view the Hillsboro Lighthouse?

The Hillsboro Lighthouse may be easily viewed from two locations: West view from the Pompano Beach “Inlet Park”2660 N Hwy. AlA, Pompano Beach or a closer South view from the beach. Enter the beach at East end of NE 16 St., Pompano Beach, or 0.1 mile North from the paved public beach access path along the North edge of the Canada House property. Then walk North to the inlets South jetty, a distance of about 0.4 mile or 0.3 mile respectively. There is no public beach access from Bay Dr.

The Lighthouse beam is a safety issue. Any outage of an aid to navigation should immediately reported to the Coast Guard.
